TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has held separate telephone conversations with his Saudi and Turkish counterparts, discussing the latest developments in the region.
According to foreign media, Araghchi exchanged views with the Saudi and Turkish foreign ministers on the current regional situation during the calls.
The three foreign ministers also discussed ongoing diplomatic efforts and possible measures to help ease regional tensions and bring an end to the escalation.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, discussed follow-up measures on understandings reached at the first meeting of the Makkah Defence Alliance on Sunday.

The two foreign ministers spoke by telephone and also exchanged views on regional and international developments, including issues of mutual interest at multilateral forums, according to the FO.
The Foreign Office said the discussion also covered implementation of understandings reached during the inaugural meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee of the Makkah Defence Agreement, held in Istanbul on Aug 31.
Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye signed the joint defence agreement on Aug 7 in Makkah. Under the pact, an armed attack against any one of the three member states is to be treated as an attack against all.
