Summary Says JUI-F against forming provinces, but decision should be taken after considering time, circumstances
LAHORE (Dunya News) - JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said there should be a discussion on the formation of new provinces or units.
Addressing Khatm-e-Nabuwat (PBUH) conference here on Monday, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, “We are not against the creation of provinces. Decision should be made after considering the time and circumstances. Political parties will have to play their role in this regard.”
“PPP only talks about Sindh, while the PML-N is silent on this issue. One nation could not be created on the basis of the two-nation theory.
“We could not build a nation on the basis of the two-nation theory. Riots were organised here on the basis of linguistics. We have based Pakistan on external debts,” the JUI-F emir said.
Colonial system has ended, but international institutions today decide our country’s affairs. We have been made dependent on loans from the World Bank and IMF. If they decide our economic policies, this is a form of colonialism, he added.
Country becomes strong through peace and order, there is a division here. Muslim Ummah is being divided. We want to give a life of dignity to the poor people of Pakistan.
The politics of elites and oppressive politics will not work. The politics of imposing power will not work. We have to thwart all movements against the blasphemy law, the JUI-F said.
