Summary Pakistan Navy has launched Sea Spark 2026 in Karachi to assess operational readiness against modern maritime threats, with Army and Air Force units joining the exercise for joint combat preparedness.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Navy has launched its major naval exercise, Seaspark 2026, in Karachi, with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf as the chief guest at the opening briefing.
Addressing the briefing, Admiral Naveed Ashraf said the Pakistan Navy could not compromise on its operational preparedness amid an unstable and complex security environment in the region.
He also highlighted the growing importance of the information domain and stressed the need for a strong joint strategy among the three armed forces in view of the changing nature of warfare.
The exercise will assess the Pakistan Navy's operational readiness to respond to conventional and modern maritime threats. Warships, submarines, aircraft, drones, Pakistan Marines and Special Operations Forces will participate in the exercise.
The Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force will also demonstrate joint operational planning and combat capabilities as part of Seaspark 2026.
During the exercise, Admiral Naveed Ashraf visited Pakistan Navy warships and reviewed ongoing operational activities. He also met officers and personnel serving with fleet units.
The exercise reflects the Pakistan Navy's commitment to maintaining an operational edge across different dimensions of naval warfare.
