Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has hit back at Rakhi Sawant over the latter’s recent suggestive remarks involving Ranaut and other public figures.
Responding to Sawant’s comments in an Instagram Story, Ranaut criticised what she described as a tendency to target successful women with personal attacks.
“It is not just her; most failed and bitter people are quick to point fingers at the character of successful women to soothe their own envy, failure, and ego, and to justify their own state,” Ranaut wrote.
The actress said women should not feel compelled to defend themselves against repeated public attacks or character criticism.
“But the time has come for us to stop feeling vulnerable in the face of such repeated, deliberate attacks; we must stop feeling humiliated or distressed by public character assassination and stop offering explanations for everything,” she added.
Ranaut then made a pointed remark about Sawant, saying people who try to gain something through “favours” may still fail to achieve their goals.
“They are willing to do anything to achieve something, yet unfortunately, no one actually needs anything from you,” Ranaut wrote.
She went on to say: “Remember, even if you combined all your ‘favours,’ they wouldn’t get you a job as a sweeper—because even that requires certain standards and competence.”
Ranaut concluded her post by telling Sawant to “sit back, watch my releases, and keep crying.”
Sawant has recently faced criticism over suggestive comments she made about Ranaut, former Union minister Smriti Irani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sawant was recently featured on an episode of comedian Samay Raina’s show alongside businessman Ashneer Grover, comedian Kushagra Srivastava and Balraj Ghai, owner of The Habitat.
Meanwhile, Ranaut was last seen in the film Bharat Bhagya Vidhata.
